  • 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Medical Assistant certification or medical assistant diploma from an accredited school of training required.
  • Must have clinical background experience
  • Previous experience with an electronic medical records system highly preferred but not required

PMSI is seeking a seeking a Registered or Certified Polysomnographic Technologist for our Sleep Wellness Center!

Sleep Wellness Center of Pottstown, Pottstown, PA, a division of Pottstown Medical Specialists, Inc. is currently seeking a Registered or Certified Polysomnographic Technologist for a per diem position.  Sleep Wellness Center of Pottstown is an accredited center with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of adult sleep disorders.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:
  • Be able to perform in lab PSG, and/or PAP TITRATION along with instructing patients that require a home study.
  • Responsible for reviewing patient data via Electronic Medical Records in preparedness for a PSG and /or PAP study.
  • Responsible for attaching electrodes/monitoring equipment/ PAP mask, needed to acquire an accurate study.
  • Monitors patients throughout the study, making notations on patient record every half hour.
  • Removes electrodes /monitoring equipment/ mask, post study, prepares patient for discharge making sure all appropriate paperwork is completed.
  • Cleans all equipment as indicated in SWCP Maintenance and Cleaning of Equipment Policy.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly working environment, cleans all surfaces and strips beds at the end of their shift.
  • Performs other related tasks as requested by Manager/Lead Technologist/Administration to maintain lab operations.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of Polysomnography Program or A-Step program.
  • 2 Year experience preferred but not required.

  • Registered or Certified Certification in Polysomnography Testing.
  • CPR Certified
